The Multicultural Cinema Club, led by a professional director and producer Azam Fouk Aladeh,
aims to create a culture of cinema club within our community by screening films, hosting discussions,
creating artistic works, and encouraging community film-making in Kitchener-Waterloo. The Multicultural
Cinema Club is not only for New Canadians. It is an open concept for anyone interested in artistic
community projects.
Rescheduling Local Focus 5
Over the last four years Local Focus has developed a strong base as an annual forum and showcase for film makers in Waterloo Region and the surrounding area. Now we want to make it bigger and better.
The Multicultural Cinema Club is in discussion with colleagues in the regional film making community, the Creative Enterprise Enabling Organization and other interested parties about expanding the event. Stay tuned for updates on Local Focus “plus” coming October or November this year.
